Capcom aim to cross 1.2 million copies of Monster Hunter 3G in Japan by March 31st, and it looks like they’re already fairly close to that number. The publisher announced today that they’ve shipped 1 million copies of the game so far.

Monster Hunter 3G was released on December 10th, selling over 520,000 copies in its first week, and is at about 730,000 copies sold at present. The ongoing holiday week should help its sales stay consistent for another week.

In their press release mentioning the ship number, Capcom also point out that the Monster Hunter games have sold over 20 million copies cumulatively.
