Eric “Concerned Ape” Barone revealed the release date for Stardew Valley update 1.6 on its eighth anniversary. The social media post noted it will debut on March 19, 2024.
This Stardew Valley update 1.6 release date only applies to the PC version of the game. However, the developer did say the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and mobile patches will arrive “as soon as possible.”
It is important to note that this could take quite a bit of time. The 1.5.0 update showed up for PCs back in December 2020. However, the mobile versions’ didn’t get that patch until 2023.
We do have an idea of what to expect from this update though. Concerned Ape teased that it will be “larger in scope than originally planned” back in January 2024. The developer also noted that there will be a new festival appearing after the update.
For people who don’t own the game, it is temporarily on sale on certain platforms. People can get it for $7.49 on Steam and the Nintendo eShop until the end of February 26, 2024.
Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PCs, mobile devices, and the PlayStation Vita. The 1.6 update will launch for PCs on March 19, 2024.
